Some may bemoan the abundance of sequels in gaming, but let’s face it: most of us love them. What’s not to like about more of something we really dig, only bigger and better?
Sequels hand developers the opportunity to refine and perfect an already-brilliant formula, which is why such follow-ups make for some of the best games on Android.
Because there are so many of these follow-ups, we have applied some rules to our Top 5 gaming sequels on Android list. They must be direct sequels to existing Android games and they must score higher than the prequel.
With those rules in mind, let’s get this feature wrapped up in time for talks about the inevitable sequel.

The first Guns'n'Glory impressed us all with its quirky take on tower defence and its unusual Wild West setting. This sequel retains the former but changes the latter (to an equally interesting World War 2 setting). With lovely cartoony graphics and a deep RPG-like progression system, it's a worthy follow-up to an Android classic. |
